The Completeness of Love:

A moment of clarity hits Becky...

I really love my dog.  I mean really, completely, like it fills me up.  But hang on, I really completely love my husband (it's true!) but somehow it doesn't detract from how much I love my dog.  And then there's my nephew, now if I had a few hours to wax lyrical about him...

And then I thought of the playground bickering - "No, I'm her bezzie friend, and she likes you less than me!"  Oh no you're not, she loves me she does!  But hang on, if I apply my new found revelation, then isn't it possible that there is enough love to go around?  That the "Bestest" friend might be a position that more than one person can occupy at anyone time.  Love is infinite, it's self generating and it's endless, provided that the lov-er  is not hurt by the lov-ee.

The simple fact is that I love as fully as I can, be it a friend, a pet, a lover, or someone who just got up my nose yesterday.  I do it because I am hoping that people will see it and feel the warmth, and perhaps they'll pass that on further than just my immediate circle.  Loving is not easy and it's so easy to apply conditions, but think about this - What do you love more: the being, or just their actions?  The being is the essence of the person, their inner fingerprint, their intentions and their dreams.  The part that is the highest and most amazing, the part that we always think people should judge us on.  None of us want to be judged on our actual actions, do we?  Just the Intent behind it.

Anyway, remember to embrace people in their entirety, a person ain't a pick'n'mix!  You'll find that warmth and care is returned quicker than you thought if you invest it well.  Then your own life will seem that much more peachy!
